Peter, the cellist and oldest member of a successful classical string quartet, decides he must retire when he’s diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease. His announcement proves a catalyst for the others, letting their hidden resentments come to the surface as they prepare a Beethoven piece that is played non-stop no matter how life interferes.
